This kit taught me a lot of the process of creating realistic looking eyes with an airbrush. A thing that I thought was never possible, but with Dru's amazing teaching style it took the mysticism out of creating amazing looking eyes. Check out the pic I attached. This was created by me using Dru's class and a bad dominant arm. So if I can do it with patience anyone probably could.

Great tutorial I always found that my eyes were flat looking and missing that glassy look . Dru talks you through things that I found was obvious but I just wasn't seeing. His lessons really changed my outlook on colour and my whole approach to my airbrushing

Hi, I have been trying to airbrush for almost two months now and I was getting ready to sell my equipment I bought because every tutorial or how to article I tried my work still looked very sad and went straight into the trash can. The sales rep at an airbrush supplier I buy from said Oh no you need Dru Blair. I said, "Dru Who"? Dru Blair can take anyone from not having any experience and have them airbrushing photo real in one year. I am unable to attend a class at the school at this time so I bought the eye kit and really I was just expecting to finish it and then throw my work in the trash! Well Thank you Mr. Blair for offering these courses in the mail. Mr. Blair is a great teacher and he explains everything so even a beginner like myself can understand. When I was done with the intermediate eye I stood back and could not believe how good it looked! Of course I need to improve but that will come with practice. It made me feel so good to know that I can airbrush a little and it gave me such hope. I will take the hair classroom next and hope to attend a live course soon. Thank You Mr. Blair!!!

3 hours ago I had never held an airbrush in my life and wanted to time myself from the end of watching dru's videos and some supplementary ones on airbrush basics to producing something on paper. 3 Hours 22 mins to be precise. Im in Scotland UK, the kit arrived promptly with no hidden custom charges and is excellent. My only niggle...Too skimpy on the paper, 1 postcard size piece included per project is a bit thrifty for its not even the equivalent of a sheet of A4 considering the price.

I've only been airbrushing for a few weeks. Got tired of practicing dots and dagger strokes. Decided to take a chance on one of the lessons in a box and could not believe how much I learned! Very informative and so fun to practice and learn. Just wish more paper had been included but I'm practicing on poster board for now.

This was my second attempt at the eye kit. I learnt so much from the videos and i will be having another go with the extra pieces of awesome blair paper. It was my firts time using blair paper, i liked it that much that i have orderd more paper the small skin texture stencil kit and the classroom in a box hair kit. Great kit, great YouTube instructions. Doing it in 3 stages helped a lot. Having done the Hair Texture kit before this one was helpful in learning better use of the paint removal tools for texture effects. I was quite happy with the last eye with skin color; my only disappointment was finding out vigorous use of the esrser to remove unwanted overstay left markings hard to hide when paint is applied. Should have patiently used a cotton swap with window cleaner. Other than that, I loved the outcome. Soon I will explore the Skin texture kit. Thanks Dru, my skill is improving the more I practice.

A really great kit and tutorial, I started with the sepia version of the eye and then progressed onto the colour tutorial. So much learnt from creating various textures to using transparent paints. I now have an understanding of how transparent paints work with each other and how you can shift colours to where you want them. I can use a lot of this info from this tutorial on other projects. I can defiantly recommend this classroom in a box.

Enjoyed doing this, you will learn a lot about using transparent paint and just how unforgiving they can be at times, the effects you get with different tools, but with the help of Dru and great instruction on the video you will do it.

I attended Dru's "Portrait realism" class so when I purchased "the Eye" kit I didn't watch the instructional videos. I just started to paint the eye based on Dru's techniques which were still fresh in my memory.

This was a very effective lesson that indeed helped me a lot with realistic airbrush principles.
The package is very well made, with stencils and instructions. Of course Dru take you step by step in completing this project both in black and gray as well as in colors.
The informations on the videos are so valuable for any airbrush artist looking for realism.
Dru teaches you all you need to know about this lesson to achieve realism. Through the videos you will gain knowledge on how to achieve that realism very efficient many little secrets are shared which are useful in any airbrush work,these principles will help you understand what is important and what's not in your future airbrush works, some of them in general and some in particular about erasing , multiple layering and shadowing.
For sure worth every penny , anyone can gain experience more or less and look realisme with a different eye.

I would recommend this to any and all airbrush artists. Its the next best thing to being in a Dru Blair class.One of the best things about this kit is you get more paint than what you need to finish the paintings,so just buy an extra piece of his special paper and you can work this eye again and again. Just set up a laptop or ipad or tablet of some kind next to where you are painting and start the video ... its almost like being in one of his classes. Cant wait for my skull kit and any others Dru is going to create!!!

I really don't think that this is worth $155.00. Problem is is all I doing is an eye, with Gerald Mendez set you get a tru artwork to do, then I'm looking at your skull classroom kit and it says do the eye if a beginner and I am not a beginner and I did not see that posted anywhere else when buying this product. sooooo....that being said, what is the conclusion to this eye project, what is going to be better with the classroonm in a box series? Thanks.

After admiring Dru's works and teaching ability vi the internet, I jumped at the opportunity to try one of these "classroom in a box" kits the moment they became available. From the minute I received the box I was impressed - the "classroom" came with everything to complete the project, and was packed so well, it was almost a shame to dig into it. Dig in I did, though. All of the materials provided are top notch, and the On-line instructional videos available with the box course are fantastic - well worth the price of admission! Can not wait for the next one to be available,

Easy to follow instruction that has definitely improved my skills. This opened up a whole new world of airbrushing to me. Pictured are the references above and my results at the bottom. This really helped clarify the use of transparent colors, scratching and erasing techniques and stencil useage. I will be buying more of these classroom in a box sets in the near future.

The eye kit arrived within two weeks and although I had problems viewing the videos the customer care was excellent and despite being the Christmas holidays my email was answered and the problem sorted out straight away. Having now watched the videos I can only say that the tuition ( as well as the kit ) is excellent and worth every penny. (One word of warning here if you are, like me, in the U.K. be prepared to pay import duty of about £14.)
I am now looking forward to giving it a go and will definitely be purchasing additional kits as and when they become available.

Even know I have been airbrushing for quite some time, I stil went through all three phases(beginner, intermediate and advanced). I am intrigued by photo realism and I think this a start on my new path with an airbrush. My wife had got me a week at any airbrush school of my likes so I am going to pick Blair School of Realism.

Being a relative newcomer to Airbrushing I was excited when this was released. I was also nervous. I panicked a bit when it had the 'green tinge' to it, but had faith and continued, it all came good in the end.
The outcome was better than I expected for my skill level. I Highly recommend these for all.

I loved this kit. I have been waiting and hoping for years that Dru would produce something like this for those of us who couldn't get to one of his classes. He is an excellent teacher and the materials in the kit are top quality. One very small criticism is that the volume on the videos is quite low. Also I wasn't sure if Dru reduced the paint or sprayed straight from the bottle. Thanks for making this kit. Looking forward to the next one already.

I am always intrested in many different techniques and how artist "see" things creating in this example an eye. Even if you like me have been painting for about 18 year its still very important to learn new things .This kit is so easy to follow for beginners but also very good for experienced "artist". Dru explains it very very good in the videos showing every step and most important explaining why he does things to create the realism. No wonder people love to come to his workshops! So far so good. Everything was excellent, as expected. One of my paint bottles leaked during shipping, but the bottles were in a ziplock bag so there was no damage to the other things in the kit.
The videos are great. Dru takes his time explaining 'how and why' during the whole painting process.
I hope Dru develops more Classrooms in a Box tutorials. I will definitely order.

Found the eye kit well thought out with what you get in it,The kit was easy to use but the one thing that made it harder to follow was the fact you had to watch the videos first and then see what you remembered from them,then go back and watch them again to move on in the eye,might have been easy'r to have a pdf file to download and read as you go to go along with the videos
