Take Command of Fire
FIre is one of the most popular subjects for airbrushing, and yet remains elusive to paint accurately. In this course, Dru demonstrates how to create the word "FIRE" in 3.5" photorealistic burning letters.
You'll start with the kit which includes 3 stencils per letter, reference photos, paper, and online access to an instructional video. All you need is a working airbrush and access to the internet.
You can stop with this project, or expand your vocabulary by purchasing additional letter stencils.
Dru has designed his classroom in a box home study courses just for you. Dru is 100% committed to making his lessons the best and most informative they can be. Each Classroom in a Box walks you through the project step-by-step just like being at a Dru Blair workshop.
Classroom in a Box home study courses are recorded in real-time using HD video and narrated by Dru Blair himself as he walks you through your project and explains not only every mark he makes, but more importantly, why he makes those marks, as well as why he chooses to use one technique over another. Classroom in a Box home study courses: the next best thing to being there!
Video instruction in two parts
The first video is over one hour, and is full of details about how Dru achieves his realistic results using an "S" tutorial as an example. Included in the full kit is paper, reference, stencils, tools, and paint. The lite version of this kit omits the tools and paint. Both versions include access to online video instruction so you can learn at home.
In January another video will be added for beginning artists, which makes more use of stencils.
No matter your current skill level, you can achieve greater realism in your work and become a better artist. We guarantee it. Join a workshop or purchase Classroom in a Box home study course to prove to yourself that you ready to take your art to the next level!

We have purchased the license to use these letters in this kit, so students can paint this image, again and again, royalty-free for education and personal artistic growth. Usage rights of the letters, kit materials, and videos themselves are non-transferable, and distribution of the kits, videos, and/or their content to the public is prohibited without written consent.
Some students have even sold their art created with the kit for more than the cost of the kit itself. For example, Alan Anderson recently sold his painting from the “Stargazer” kit for $600!
Additional Letters
We've made the entire alphabet available to you to purchase either individually or as the entire set. You will start with the word "FIRE," included in the base kit, and select other letters from the menu. You also have the option to purchase the entire alphabet, extra paper, or numerals which will become available later.
Since each stencil is reusable, you only need to purchase each letter one time.
Registration marks are included on the stencils so that you can properly align them when layering.
How to view the video
Video Access begins just before your box ships, and includes access to just over 1 hour of instructional HD quality video!
This is a full workshop project from beginning to end - Just like being in the classroom with Dru teaching! You see the project as a first-person viewer. The camera is positioned in front of the instructor, not over the shoulder, so you will see the project develop as Dru's eyes would see it.
